About the Artist
Summer Neona is a multimedia artist working primarily in sculpture. She obtained her B.F.A in Sculpture and M.A.T in Art Education. Her practice transforms found and familiar materials into evocative works that explore the intersections of memory, symbolism and the unseen. Guided by dreams, reoccurring symbols and enduring philosophical questions, she approaches making as a form of inquiry; using her hands to discover what the mind alone cannot resolve. Each work of art becomes an act of searching and revealing the layers of meaning through material, form and texture.
She aims to curate dramatic and mysterious visual language that invites viewers into the spaces of curiosity rather than certainty. Objects to her become relics. Symbols become portals and ordinary objects become filled with significance. Rather than offering definitive answers for the audience, she creates experiences that draw you closer, engage with your own interpretations and questions.
